NYC Spring 08 I

It's that time of the year again! I'm hoping that I might be able to come up with a bit more stuff this season, other than just the reviews. We'll see what happens...

1. Abaeté:

It's a little weird seeing actual Abaeté clothes, since all I can think of when I hear the name is Payless. This dress is simple and chic and if you switch the shoes and add black tights you can make it a little edgier.

2. ADAM:

Two beautiful long dresses that are carefree and elegant. Purple is really becoming one of my favorite colors and I love the ruffled detail at the shoulder. The print in the second dress is absolutely beautiful.

3. Alexandre Herchcovitch:

I really liked the concept of this collection and the contrast of prim and proper (tuxedos) with the sheer fabrics and neon colors. Totally downtown chic. The volume, shape and proportion of the little black dress are absolutely spot on. It's very sexy but not trashy. It needs to be in my closet ASAP.

4. Marchesa:

A little reminiscent of recent Dior collections but that doesn't make it any less breathtaking.

5. Rachel Comey:

Total hipster office wear but I can't resist those colors.

6. Rag & Bone:

Flight attendant chic! Love the graphic lines in the dress.
