NYC Spring 08 II

1. Alexander Wang:

While his collection wasn't groundbreaking, it was filled with cool clothes that I would love to wear. I love the breeziness of that oversized blazer with the cool ripped shorts, and the awesome silver sweatshirt has iconic piece written all over it. I'm sure it'd be one of those pieces that you buy and throw on when you're in kind of a hurry and don't want to think too much about what you're wearing, and then everywhere you go people will compliment you on it. I would wear it for years!

2. Bill Blass:

Hey, every girl needs something sparkly in her closet, no?
(And I would pair it with a pair of Dr. Martens).

3. Jason Wu:

His collection was wonderfully lady-like without being cheesy, a little retro without being costume-y and it perfectly fit in with my current fashion obsession (the 60's as seen in the wonderful French movie "Playtime", which I'll try to do a little post on later). I loved the khaki trench with the salmon colored dress (khaki will be a BIG trend for spring), perfect for Sunday brunch. I love the print of the second dress, but what captivated me was the beautiful (and sexy!) neckline and the slight bubble shape that somehow seems new and not like the bubble shapes that were so trendy a few seasons ago. It's definitely a very strong collection that will apppeal to many different women. He's one to watch in the future, for sure.
