Runway the Real Way: Amanda Brooks

I really love what she's done here. She's taken a statement piece from a great collection and has really managed to make it her own. I feel like it would've been so easy for someone else to just wear the runway look head to toe (unoriginal), imitate the runway look with other pieces (unoriginal AND tacky!) or even worse, try to up the sexy factor (when does this ever work?). Here she pairs this dangerously slinky sexy Proenza Schouler skirt, with a plain grey tee (American Apparel? or is The Row making its debut?) and simple-but-not-boring black pumps. Her tousled hair and minimal makeup finish up this great look. She looks effortless and chic, and what else would we want?
