Paris Spring 08: Dries Van Noten
I was surprised at the inherent cheeriness at the Dries Van Noten show. I don't know that I'd equate the brand to bold-almost-tropical prints, but they were done so well they could very well be his trademark. Once again, this season I'm reminded of Prada's mid 90's celebrated nerd-chic collection with all the mismatching of prints.
What makes this dress cool is the different fabric inset at the chest that looks like a coral necklace. The mix of fabrics and colors here is perfect.
The shape of this dress is so understated sexy, but the colors are very earthy and it creates a really wonderful contrast. I think a dress like this should definitely be seen in upcoming spring editorials.
I like this even though I positively hate gauchos.
I love this weird nouveau-glam-hippie thing that's been going on lately. This dress is so gorgeous and effortless. I would wear this all the time.
