NYC Fall 08: 3.1 Phillip Lim

Beautiful collection, as usual, though it felt a little bit more mature and serious than usual.

This is my current favorite color so it's only natural that I am drawn to it. Although heer sleeves are sort of a pet peeve of mine, I think they work here. I especially love the gold necklace. His accessories are always super cool and super unique.

This coat is absolutely gorgeous. I love the subtle shape that forms in the front when left unbuttoned and the way the contrast lining creates a sort of ocean-wavy effect against the creme fabric.

Total Olsen Boho-Chic, but I love it. Who am I kidding, I love the Olsens too. I'm really digging the way Irina looks here with those super red lips.

I don't know why I like this. It's gold and sort of old lady-ish, but I can't help but be attracted to it. There's the sheer sleeve again, but this time it's paired with a gold jacquard fabric and a bubble skirt. That's a lot to swallow, yet it works. Of courses this is the sort of thing that would never work on me, but on those kinds of girls that wear thick rimmed glasses and have long messy hair. sigh.

Coolest wedding dress ever for a hip, downtown gal. I love it, and I love that that thing in the front is sort of in the way. Its awkwardness makes it more appealing.

Interesting progression for Lim.... love that it isn't entirely 'Oh so lovely and wearable' which can get a bit boring...
