NYC Fall 08 III

1. Alexandre Herchcovitch:

How awesome are these dresses? The last one reminds me a little of Miu Miu's current Spring collection, but its just because of the black trompe l'oeil(?) collar. I need one of these in my closet right away.

2. Alexander Wang:

Alexander Wang is so good that he made me covet this look even though I am completely against tights/leggings as pants. I wish I could pull off an oversize blazer like that, it's just so cool.

3. Costello Tagliapietra:

Even though Hanne Gaby blends in with the look, I love it. It's feminine and a little weird, I love that the skirt seems like it's in constant movement and evolution. The boys at Costello Tagliapietra never fail to include something that I absolutely love.

4. Jeremy Laing:

LOVE.IT. Total relaxed glamour chic. I could see Cate Blanchett wearing this to an awards show. I'd add a belt to make the waist pop a bit, maybe not even a crazy belt, just a cool sort of leather, manly belt.

5. Juan Carlos Obando:

Beautiful first(?) collection. This dress is absolutely breathtaking in its simplicity and quiet elegance. I am looking forward to his future collections for sure.
