I'll admit that I wasn't wowed by this collection the way it's happened on previous seasons, but that doesn't mean that there weren't extraordinary pieces in the collection.
So. Sexy. It builds on the silhouette he created last season, but it's slightly updated, like a remix of 90's minimalism but with an exaggerated shape. I know it sounds like an oxymoron, but think about it, it'll make sense. Helmut Newton would just LOVE to photograph Nadja Auermann in this.
The latex coat, in the most perfect shade of muddy blood red.
Ghesquiere does the 80's. The high-fashion side of the 80's.
This is SO wearable. Although I have to admit, I'm a little weary of front slits as they pose a risk of "cooter exposing".
Perfect little futuristic dress.
And of course, the piece-de-resistance, the item that will be EVERYWHERE: the awesome draped, criss-cross top. I thought it was the strongest piece in the collection, which is sort of a disappointment, but I can't really expect Nicholas to blow my mind every season, right? Once a year, is more than enough.
Need more proof that Helmut would adore this collection? Just take a look at the killer heels.
