Copenhagen Fall 08

I've always wanted to visit the Scandinavian countries. I imagine them to be the coolest places ever because they always yield such great design and music. I found the website for Copenhagen Fashion Week and obviously, I was not disappointed. Here are the designers that are making me save money for an over-seas trip, ASAP!

1. Baum und Pferdgarten:

Simple coat in the most perfect hue of blue. I love the leather-mask-headband-thing.

Simple and sophisticated. Sometimes, that's all you need.

2. CPH Vision:
This is a show comprised of many designers, unfortunately the websites (both Copenhagen Fashion Week and CPH Vision) didn't identify the designers so it took a lot of time and sleuthing to figure it out. I am still not entirely sure of the name of the first designer, if anyone knows, please feel free to email me.

I believe the name of this designer is Migueline Andersen, though a Google search proved inconclusive. Love the double bubble sleeves in this dress. When you have such crazy details in a dress, it's often best to leave the rest really simple and this just works perfectly.

Love the oversized pixelated cardigan-dress by designer Cecilie Maria Martensen. The tones of blue and grey perfectly complement the yellow tube dress underneath.

3. Designers Remix:

Don't let the name fool you, Designers Remix is actually the work of one designer, Charlotte Eskildsen. I am really into the monochromatic looks that many designers showed for Fall, though we'll see if I'll actually be able to pull it off in real life. I love the implied bow on this dress because it makes it a little less feminine.

4. Jens Laugesen:

This was meant for me. God, I love blazers and the way he's paired it here makes it super sexy.

5. Stine Goya:

I am definitely going to make a point to follow Stine's career and collections. Her collection was super cool, with tons of wearable pieces and sort of dry sense of humor. This dress is awesome. The color is perfect and the graphic details make its avant-garde-ness a bit less serious. If I was a movie star, I would wear this to any and all red carpet events, haha. It would probably land me on Fashion Police pages, but only because celebrity tabloids are lame.

I love stripes. I love purple. Therefore, I adore this dress.
