Paris Fall 08 IV

I'm so, so, sorry for my lack of updates. I had a crazy week and seem to have caught the plague, but after pumping my body full of Sudafed for 2 days I can finally breathe, eat and of course, tell you all about Paris Fashion Week.

1. Akris:

I love this dress because it's very ethereal and feminine, but the color is sort of dirty, which makes it a little rough and tumble.

2. Christian Lacroix:

All-black Lacroix? Yes. The man can just do everything right. I love the shape of this coccoon coat with no sleeves! The broches just take it to a next level of cool.

This dress is old world, royal glamour brought into the 21st century. I even love the crazy feathered/fringe armbands.

3. Costume National:

Slightly Mod, casual and chic. You can't go wrong with this mix of textures and colors. Black is never really out of style, especially when you do it like this.

4. Dries Van Noten:

I just love the print in this dress. Turtleneck dresses can be so sexy when they hug the body in all the right ways. I love the black socks with the sandals, too. It brings in a level of awkward to counterbalance all the sexy going on at the top.

I don't know why I like this. In theory this doesn't work, hell, I'm not sure it works in reality, bu I can't help but want to be this girl. It's just so off, it works.

5. Emanuel Ungaro:

Esteban Cortazar is now designing at Ungaro. This is depressing news for me because he is my same age yet we have um, very different jobs, to say the least. His first collection for Ungaro was ok. It was sexy but I think it needed a bit more dramatic to really take it to the next level. I love this because it's so Miami Vice (the original show, not the clustercrap of a movie that was recently made).
