On Cecilia Dean

Stephen Gan, Cecilia Dean and James Kaliardos, the magical dream team that brought the Rad to the letter V.
Cecilia Dean is one of my favorite people. She is one of the founders (and current Editor) of Visionaire* and by extension V and VMan magazines, and is just all around awesome. She also has a killer sense of style and it's clear that she always has fun when she gets dressed. She can be a garçonne one day, cheekily wearing a tie and slacks; and a goddess the next day, in a beautiful Rodarte dress. Needless to say, I hope one day I can be this rad (with own magazine and everything!).


She wears menswear inspired looks often, and she always gives them a little something extra. She can be anything from old Hollywood by pairing an exquisitely tailored black suit with a white fur stole; or she can bring a bit of boyish charm by pairing a short sleeve white shirt with high-waisted trousers.


I'm certain that she always stands out at fancy affairs because she always wears incredible dresses. She seems to favor Rodarte a lot, and I think the fact that she can wear these magical dresses and not be overshadowed by them is proof that her awesomeness knows no boundaries.



*Visionaire is my most ridiculous obsession. Seriously, you should see me in front of one of the issues, you'd think I was standing in front of Excalibur or something.
