Under Construction

There is something so incredibly bizarre yet modern about these Fall 08 Pierre Hardy boots, and I just can't take my eyes off them. They seem to suggest both the process of designing a shoe, and a modern architecture aesthetic. The front part of this shoe is my favorite, because it makes me think that the platform is attached to the shoe with blue painter's tape, but even the rest of the shoe seems to be put together haphazardly; the colors don't seem to match straight off the bat (some people might consider it a sin to mix brown and black, although I have no problem with it) and even the materials are sort of incongruous. It's a shoe whose main ingredient is controlled chaos and that's where its delicate balance of beauty rests.

Hi, I came across your blog and found some interesting posts!

Pirre Hardy boots is like architecture of shoes - the unusal shape and heel structure shows the masculine side of the shoes; but the blue front is more feminine and brighten up everything about this winter boots! xx
