Two sides of a coin
I confess to having a total girl-crush on Lou Doillon. She always looks so cool and oh, dare I say it, French. The first picture perfectly captures her je ne sais quoi because on anyone else, the outfit would seem sloppy and awkward, but on her it looks like the essence of tomboy chic. The secret? It's all in the details. Her hair is tousled perfectly, her shirt has one more button undone than what would seem appropriate, her pants are slightly high waisted and cropped to showcase her crazy man-inspired shoes with the green detail.
Then in the second picture, she is the COMPLETE opposite of her previous incarnation. Yes she looks a bit trampy, but it's that brand of trampy that is endearing in its sort of awkwardness and raw honesty. I love her messy bed-head bun and her killer heels but most of all her attitude towards getting dressed and her style, because clearly she is a woman who isn't afraid to experiment with her looks and understands that fashion is liberating and fun.
