Words + Guitar

Lovely Jackie tagged me!

The Rules: List seven songs you are into right now. No matter what the genre, whether they have words, or even if they’re not any good, but they must be songs you’re really enjoying now, shaping your summer. Post these instructions in your blog along with your 7 songs. Then tag 7 other people to see what they’re listening to.

This is a mix of songs I was obsessed with today (Garbage, Eno and Bjork), and songs I've been into for the past few days. As you can see I am a weirdo with no knowledge of what the kids are listening to these days*. It's totally sad. But you know, these songs are good! And to facilitate your listening, I've put them up on Muxtape so you can hear them in the office! or at home! or while you work out! YAAAY!

...and Disneyrollergirl tagged me too!

1. Pick up nearest book

5. Tag 5 people, and acknowledge who tagged you.

I am currently reading Wind, Sand and Stars by Antoine de Saint-Exupery
Round the plane two hundred Moors were finding out what slave looked like when he stood on the threshold of life. They would make no bones about snatching him back again if a little later the ship happened to be forced down.

We stood about our fifty-year-old, new-born babe, worried a little at having launched him forth on the stream of life.

"Good-by, Bark!"
"No!"
"What do you mean?"
"No. I am Mohammed ben Lhaoussin!"
So I'm going to tag Elizabeth, 1234, ms.retail recovery, enfievre, the honorable mayor of bethville and ana. If you aren't on the list but feel like doin' it, then omg totally go for it, and if I tagged you and you don't feel like doin' it, no big dealz, I won't be offended.

*Actually, I am into No Age, which is a sweet band circa right now, but I don't have any songs of theirs on my computer as I heard them on someone's Muxtape and then totally forgot to favorite it. But check them out because they are rad!

1234: the book is really great. it's sort of his memoirs from when he was a pilot, so it's not as fantastical, but I feel like his beautiful writing doesn't need magic to move you, you know?

enfievre: i will check it out!

stephanie: thanks so much!
