It's.... awesome, no, amazing, no, fantastic, no, tremendous!
Ah, fuck it, I'm just gonna show my nerd roots and say it's supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.
This is exactly what I would expect a collection that takes inspiration from Japan to look like in the 21st century. The classic Japanese shapes and motifs are instantly recognizable and present, but just like in the real country, we also get the feeling of a thriving metropolis. A place that sometimes seems like it's living in a future the rest of us have not yet seen. The schizophrenic beat of the city lights, their graphic design, their advertisement, it's all reflected in the amazing prints that meld the technological with the natural, the flower prints with the geometric shapes, the fish scales with street metal.
I am dubbing this the Pollock dress. It's amazing. I need it. I really need it.
I am in absolute awe of this collection, well done Christopher and Bruno. Bravo.
