DKNY was celebrating a birthday so I guess they made the show extra fancy (aka. extra long, I mean 70 looks? jeez), anywho, although the high heeled sneakers are terrifyingly ugly (as they usually are), the mix of fancy and sport in this outfit was way way more successful (holy-run-on sentence Batman!). I love the idea of a luxuriously long top that you nonchalantly wear with whatever bottoms you have at hand for an instant cool look. Did that all make sense? I mean, I dig the top.
Another perfect spring dress with perfect safari-influences and super cool almost-snakeskin print. The sneakers are, again, regrettable.
2. Lela Rose:
Lela Rose is usually not on my radar, as she mostly designs for those that live way above Brooklyn, but this collection had a quasi-hipster feel (if those hipsters lived in apartments with 360 views of Central Park and whatnot). The bright colors instantly drew me in.
This cardigan/jacket thing is insanely cute and versatile.
3. Costello Tagliapietra:
This is so cool. I love the print and the cut and the belt and the teal peeptoe lace-up heels. They just know how to do relaxed glamour to a T.
4. Diane von Furstenberg:
I love the mix of fabrics and colors in this look although I am not necessarily in love with the actual pieces themselves, but I can't imagine how I would rearrange them to make them work for me, so I guess DvF has the upper hand in this one. However, those dreamcatcher/ headpieces? Not good. At all.
