Yay for Ann Yee!

I met Ann when we were in college in Philly, she was friends with my roommate, but I had already noticed her killer style around school. She's launching her namesake collection this fall, and it's just as cool as she is.

You know what I love? Batwing sleeves. They make clothes hang so cool AND are always such a simple way to add oomph to classic pieces, or not so classic pieces, like this awesome romper. Grey and yellow is still one of my favorite combinations, and this one has just the right amount of contrast and the buttons lend just enough fancy. As if that wasn't enough, IT'S BACKLESS! omg. Oh and what's this? A super fancy quasi-cropped top worn with perfect high-waisted trousers? SOLD. The blouse is perfect pants old-school-charmed-lady and superhero. I don't know that you need anything else when you get dressed up.

Seriously, have y'all fallen in love with her yet? Just look at this magnificent shirt-dress! I love that she paired it with a beret, because that's exactly how I would wear it. Then I'd add some opaque tights and in a lighter touch of whimsy, I'd wear my Marc white patent leather mouse flats. Oh I love clothes that can just take you away so easily. The shirtdress is all whimsy and cute, but this vest/trouser combo is pure his-n'-hers chic. Both pieces send a message of sexiness through strength, but there is a secret feeling of "borrowed from the boys" in it. The exaggerated lapel on the vest is the stuff dreams are made of, you'd SO be able to take over the world wearing it, no?

These are just my most favorite pieces from her collection, if you want to see the rest, check out her website, Ann Yee Collection.

That amazing vest and I are going to hang out, and then I'll become clingy and NEVER EVER LET THE VEST HAVE OTHER FRIENDS.

The clothes are fine, but they don't flatter her figure in the least. I think they are meant for taller, slimmer women.

The shirtdress and the romper are so great. Great palette too. I never get tired of grey, it pairs so beautifully with so many colours.
