I am still trying to decide how I feel about the Jil Sander collection (it was just so different from anything I've seen from Raf lately that I guess it took me off guard?), but the thing I don't have to think about twice are his awesome shoes. That heel is fantastic and they have a real raw artistic feeling about them. They are real sculptures.

the shoes are certainly awesome.. i could totally see kate lanphear rocking the bottom right pair (snakeskin, i believe?). my favorite part is the dirty metal platform. so great :)

I'm terrified of shoes like that. I mean, they're fun to look at but there is NO WAY IN HELL they could be fun to wear.
i love the shoes..I don't think they'll be produced but if they are, you could display them in your living room as sculptures and wear them on the side.

i wasn't sure what to think of the collection at first as well...but browsing thru the detail photos I was convinced it was beautiful.
the fraying details are perfect and the knitting is immaculate. and the wide-leg pant suits...to.die.for.
the wood and steel shoes are a textile lovers dream. who would have been able to put it all together better than raf? he is genius.
