Today was the last day of the Barneys Warehouse Sale (aka, my favorite time of the year). I was lucky enough to have the day off so I headed into Manhattan to attempt to find a dress for a party later on this week. Although I loved all of these, none of them made it home with me.
This Lanvin because it was just a smidge too big :(
This Peter Pilotto because I asked a lady next to me for advice on if I could pull it off and she said no. She seemed trustworthy? I still think it's a cool dress but I was definitely unsure about it for myself.
And this Christopher Kane, sigh, this was the hardest one to leave behind. You see, it was my size and it fit me like an amazing sheer glove of awesomeness. BUT there were two problems, you see, at the Warehouse sale people forget that these are really nice clothes and they just treat them like the sale racks at H&M. The dress was totally RIPPED on the front but I loved it so much I just told myself I could get it fixed. Then came the small matter of the price.... 75% off $1495 is really not a deal for a person of such small means such as moi, even though I was convinced that it was marked down for less and the lady at the table didn't want to look for me. I sneakily ripped off the part of the tag with the price on it and headed to the register to see if it really was a lower price and got in line to check out. On my way to the register I found THE MOST AMAZING PIECE EVER so I decided to put the Kane back because it wasn't meant to be. This dress will now haunt my dreams forever.
So what did I end up getting? Just wait and see ladies and jellydudes, just wait and see.
