Paris Spring 2010: Celine

Just in case anyone thought the fashion world was overreacting in their excitement over Phoebe Philo's return to the runways, here's her spring collection.

We start things off with a little black dress with a built-in(I think?) leather cropped top situation.

Then we move on to a delicious caramel colored leather shift dress that appears to be light as air.

And if a dress seems to be a little too much, here's the same leather done in a kicky a-line skirt and paired with a nude long sleeve shirt. The color palette is one of the best things about this collection.

The little khaki top of perfect proportions. Love its wide square sleeves and the way it hits at the waist, which makes it perfect to wear with high-waist skirts. And speaking of skirts, I definitely need this hunter-green-ish leather one.

Just when you think the show will only include more or less basic pieces, along comes this weirdo asymmetric/deconstructed military shirt. Are you guys not loving the colors here? Khaki, butterscotch and "football brown" (see Alexander Wang ). It's just too good.

Simple nude and caramel basics have a slight 90's feel to them but are definitely now. Love the knee length skirt.

But it wasn't just a caramel delight at Celine, no, then came out the blues. The dress with the ruffle cascade at the front has made a few appearances on the runway, but I think the navy with a cream undertone is definitely a winner. So simple and so chic.

And we end with Freja in the perfect white blouse with a side tie and black leather skirt.

I want it all.
