Balenciaga is back on the familiar futuristic path that Ghesquiere has carved out since his beginnings, which is always great news. This simple shift dress with a yellow, gray and cream graphic print is totally awesome, especially with the off-center zipper running down the front.
Super simple look made of two amazing pieces. A white blouse is a must in everyone's closet (yeah I know that it sounds really magazine-y, but this is one of the things that I'm 100% behind), and this one can really be worn conservatively with a nice suit, or just with a pair of jeans. I LOVE the skirt with all it's sheer details. It really draws you in.
2. Junya Watanabe:
Junya was totally KILLER this season. This suit is impeccable, and there's nothing cooler than borrowing from the dudes. The jacket has kind of an "hourglass silhouette" which I think is a nice balance to the masculine look.
Yes, they're leggings and I gotta tell you, this is SO the way to wear them. White shirt, flawless jacket and the coolest black and white spectator shoes ever. My mom wants them. I have to figure out a way to make this happen for her.
An artfully draped dress is always good and it's the kind of thing you can wear season after season, no problem.
3. Limi Feu:
Limi Feu wasn't as great as she's been other seasons, but these voluminous baby doll-ish dresses are totally epic, especially when worn with killer combat boots.
Rochas is another label that is still reeling from the lack of Theyskens, but it's been really long so I'm not going to dwell on it like a chump. I'm always a fan of the "updated classic", and this sleeveless shirt dress is just that. Love that it was paired with white socks and peetoe heels and a brightly colored bra (I'm ignoring the belt, obvz).
5. Haider Ackermann:
I love everything about this. The weird thing is that when I look closer and try to break it down, I actually don't like any of the pieces individually. I think what I like about it is the proportions, the mix of textures and the delicious shade of mocha.
