These pointe-ballerina-esque heels range pretty high in my "All time want" list. I do not think they could be improved in any way (and yes, they came in the traditional "European pink" as well). This photo has always stayed with me, she looks so ladylike and lithe yet she does not look weak. The makeup is kinda retro and very dramatic and I love all the shiny bands wrapped around her perfectly coiffed hair. Chanel ads always seem to be planned out to the last detail, but I think this one does achieve a sense of the natural, a glimpse of something that happens whether or not we are there to witness it.
Ps. I can't remember the exact season these came out, but I'm pretty sure it was in 2001. Internet sleuthing has not proved fruitful, but I am not one to give up easy.
