NYC Fall 2010 IV

1. Philosophy:
There's something vaguely Chanel-esque about this dress, but. It would obviously be worn with Docs, and maybe a leather jacket.

2. Rag & Bone:
Why not wear an asymmetric knitted cape over your super bright Americana plaid jacket?

The layering here is out of control and totes (Cher) Horowitz-worthy.
Yeah, it's a term now.

3. Thakoon:
Thakoon has been doing this weirdo Balenciaga vibe lately, have you noticed? I would like it a lot better if it had a wider belt, 'cause this little one is really ruining the proportions of the whole thing.
Jackets with fur sleeves feel so right.

4. Alexandre Herchcovitch:
The styling is a little to pirate/alterna-chick, but the dress is incredible! Love the loose silhouette and super bright tile-like print.

5. Reed Krakoff:
Reed Krakoff is the creative director of Coach and this was his first namesake collection. Before I looked at the pictures I heard a lot of people comparing it to Celine, but I didn't really see that much of a similarity between the two. This is look just SPEAKS to me right now. Both pieces kinda look too big for her, but it looks so effortlessly cool! The mid-calf lace up boots are the perfect thing to anchor the sweater-dress and leather jacket, especially with the contrasting laces. Total inspiration dressing, for sure.
