Paris Fall 2010 II

1. Maison Martin Margiela:
More red from Paris! This Margiela coat is so bright it hurts. It's so bright that you can only wear half of it, lest you be enveloped in its red-hotness and should perish of too much cool. I don't know. All I know is that it's intense, and I love it.
Worn with nudes and greys, of course.
Nudes + Neons = A++

2. Haider Ackermann:
The perfect fantasy-world forest-dweller coat.

The perfect fantasy-world goddess dress.

3. Comme des Garcons:
Bumps and pads are back! It's almost like a casual cocktail dress.

Mix and match plaids and volumes. Both pieces look kinda crazy together but individually, they could do SO many good things for the rest of your closet!

4. Hussein Chalayan:
For the full story, I highly recommend you guys read Sarah Mower's review on Style.com, but for now I can tell you that Chalayan went on an American roadtrip for fall, starting in NY and ending in California and that the clothes reflected the spirit of the different places along the way. I gravitated towards the more basic and "closer to the east" basics, but the beautiful sparkling gowns at the end held their allure as well.

5. Ann Demeulemeester:
Demeulemeester's minimal romanticism.
Very classic, very now.

That second Haider Ackermann photo is divine! So tough & rough, but equally feminine. He always produces great pieces.
