Thank you very much-o

I got an awesome package via FedEx this morning.
The May issue of Vogue Japan.
Why would this be, you ask?

OHMYGOD because I'm in it?
BANANAS!
Right above Diane Pernet and surrounded by pictures of my beloved Miu Miu shoes, my magazine stack and my Versace ads from the 90s. There is also a picture of me singing with my band!, which is crazy and awesome.
Now I need to find someone that can help me translate the whole thing! Any takers?

Thank you Fuyuko and everyone at Vogue Japan!
Much, much, love.

(ps. the editorials in this issue are TO DIE FOR!
I will try to post pics of them soon)

edit: here's a link to the scan.

edit #2: a kind reader translated the thing for me!

"The true face of a serious fashion junkie... is a unique band girl!

After seeing the music review blogs of her friends, Laia, the vocalist for the band Ivory Coasts, decided to do her own blog. She, however, would write about fashion; everything from collections to fashion magazines, ad campaigns, anything to create an all-encompassing fashion blog. "I'll read everything! My brain is a fashion encyclopedia", she laughed. Ever since she was young, Laia had always wanted to be a fashion designer, "I'd always devour my mom's copies of Vogue", she said. Her most treasured possessions are clippings from fashion magazines she's kept since she was 12. However, her appeal is still that of a 25 year-old girl. "Sometime in the near future, I'd like to work for a fashion magazine"; this individualist band girl will continue to share her unique views on her love of music and fashion."

Hey, I don't know who you are, but there was a link to your page on Tavi's blog, so I clicked it, and I was like, "Wow, this person got into Japanese Vogue!" So I tried to translate the thing about you as best I could:

"The true face of a serious fashion junkie... is a unique band girl!

After seeing the music review blogs of her friends, Laia, the vocalist for the band Ivory Coasts, decided to do her own blog. She, however, would write about fashion; everything from collections to fashion magazines, ad campaigns, anything to create an all-encompasing fashion blog. "I'll read everything! My brain is a fashion encyclopedia", she laughed. Ever since she was young, Laia had always wanted to be a fashion designer, "I'd always devour my mom's copies of Vogue", she said. "Sometime in the near future, I'd like to work for a fashion magazine"; this individualist band girl will continue to share her unique views on her love of music and fashion."

Sorry that my translation skills are sort of weak, I hope it makes sense!

How much more cool is to have a fully styled model on the cover!!! I miss fashion covers of years past... Fashion magazines are about the escape of dreaming fashion without boundaries. Having actresses and entertainers on the covers, makes it so pedestrian. (unless is Gwen Steffani, of course....)
