The girls who wanted to be old ladies

So it seems the new trend in Hollywood is to dress four times your age! Leighton Meester has been seen wearing Proenza Schouler and is in the latest Missoni campaign, so I'm puzzled as to why she would pick a Burberry dress that can best be described as nauseatingly polite. Scarlett Johansson takes the cake with her lovely mother-of-the-bride Elie Saab dress (with matching bride of Frankenstein hair).

Meanwhile, Natalie Portman bummed out everyone who heard she was wearing Viktor & Rolf and then saw this thing with a red rose (because her movie is about ballet omg!?) stuck on the breast. Flowers also seemed to be a problem for Michelle Williams, who I can't believe is mentioned here because she always looks so amazing. I know we've talked about the whole daisies comeback but I didn't think it was going to be this intense. The straps made of daisy appliques are like salt on the wound of that matronly fit and side ruffles.

Then Emma Stone walked by them in this SICK Calvin Klein number and they all wept.

Natalie's pregnancy is getting to her. Leighton looked weird. Emma was bloody amazing, as always.

As much as I adore Natalie Portman, I wasn't into the big red rose thing... not al all.
I'm totally with you on Emma's dress... AMAZING!

Since when has Hollywood/Golden Globes been so crap?

'Oh right, since ALWAYS.'

Emma in that dress and her blonde-ness = incredible. I kind of love Michelle's dress though. It's cute, but I guess the taupe-ness of it (as well as the length and side rufflez) are a little dull. I thought Natalie looked HAMAZEBALLZ, and Scarlett and Leighton "what the eff were you doing there?" Meester both could've done with a little sleeve-trim.

I know she's not as young as these babez so might've been out of place in this post, but WTF JULIANNE MOORE'S SLEEVE SITUATION. Annete Bening = totz perfect.

I kept feeling like I shouldn't like Emma Stone's dress but I totally loved it! There were sooooo many bad choices this year! So much '80s vibe!

Emma rules, though her skin color is almost the same as the dress which is gnarls. Easy A is a must see!

Natalie Portman's dress is the ugliest thing I have ever seen. When I first saw it I thought for certain that she wore it as some kind of joke but apparently not.

What the hell was she thinking? Seriously I've seen nicer bathrobes.
