Oh for the fuck of shit

"Her other fashion hero is the late, great Alexander McQueen. When McQueen comes up, Gaga leans back and a sense of wonder glows from her face. She thinks that after his suicide, McQueen began working through her. "I think he planned the whole thing: Right after he died, I wrote 'Born This Way.' I think he's up in heaven with fashion strings in his hands, marionetting away, planning this whole thing." Supporting Gaga's claim was the decision by the label--not Gaga herself--to move up the release date for "Born This Way," ultimately to the exact day of the one-year anniversary of McQueen's death. "When I heard that, I knew he planned the whole damn thing. I didn't even write the fucking song. He did!""
Gaga in Bazaar

This is so fucking gross on SO MANY DIFFERENT LEVELS that I can't even handle it.

I mean, does she REALLY thing that her level of creativity and talent is on par with Alexander-fucking-McQueen? Because she is MISTAKEN! Not in the way she dresses, not in what she sings, not in the way she dances, not in her adopted name, not in her ANYTHING is she even half as amazing as McQueen was.

I find it amazing that she keeps pretending to be Isabella Blow junior when the extent of their relationship was like "hey here's a song for your show, oh thanks here's an outfit for your video". But no one is saying anything because they're all too afraid the world won't think of them as cool for not getting whatever they're all being sold. No one wants to think on their own and they're all hopping on everyone else's "highly regarded" bandwagons. It's disgusting.

This is the fashion world's new icon? They can fucking keep her.

I guess Garth might become a recurring thing...

I read that interview and was as bothered as you. I couldn't stand her, this pushed me over the edge.

I'm sure Gaga was attempting to sound really grand and important, but she honestly just sounds so ridiculous that it's comical.

We love Gaga but we have to say it What the fuck was she smoke when she said that?

The most offensive part of the quote is putting the blame on McQueen for that terrible, terrible song.

oh my god that is disgusting. as i was reading it i could feel my face contorting. it is so incredibly insulting to his memory. mcqueen killed himself, presumably because he was a very sad and lonely man. not because he planned it so that he could channel himself through gaga and write a thoroughly shit, predictable gay anthem. i used to like gaga but i am going rapidly off her and i agree, the whole pretending she was best friends with mcqueen is kind of vile.

that's really fucking disgusting and unbelievably disrespectful. i'm puerto rican (you are too, i think?) and it's a huge cultural no-no to speak about the deceased like this.

of course, this is the same woman that called hispanic women "cholas" in her song that mcqueen MYSTICALLY CHANNELED THROUGH HER FROM BEYOND. brb vomiting.

ugh, i'm so conflicted. i really can't help but enjoy her music when i listen to it but this, this is beyond unreal. she sounds incredibly egocentric and i may very well be sick. someone needs to smack her over the head with an armadillo boot then run away with them as quickly as possible (and, hopefully, bring them safely to me wherein I will construct a shrine for them to spend the rest of their days).

laia, amy, kirsty and meagan, you all took the words right out of my mouth. i've got nothing to say other than lady gaga needs to get over her sexual infatuation. i think the world understands that she's 'loud and proud', and she should realise that and move on to a topic people actually want to hear her, of all people, sing about.

you're more of a genius with this post than she ever will be!

ive always thought she was trashy and i dont even like her music . but anyway shes definitely not my style icon ...and also i think it was beyond repulsive to talk about suicide this way . ass if it had anything to do with her or even music or even fashion for that matter.

Barf.

I hate Lady Gaga with a passion. This made me roll my eyes and laugh at what a ridiculous human she is.

Thanks for your witty post on this topic. Made my day.

How the fuck do you know how Lady Gaga and Alexander McQueen's relationship was... you're nothing.

Even though what she said was stupid I don't know how you would know the ins and outs of their relationship... oh wait you wouldn't.

UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

in some rolling stone interview she was like "god is working through me for my new song Born This Way i'm writing, it is magical" or some shit. i think she was confusing God with Madonna but w/e.

Have to admit I think she has lost the plot, or is she just pretending?

lady gaga stole all her ideas from the artist fever ray and other artist. gaga is a stink that will linger for awhile unfortunately.

I feel the same way! I actually just wrote a post about it too! I was so compelled. Harper's can and should do much better than this!

even if their relationship went a little further than that (HOW CAN YOU FORGET WHEN SHE SAID IN VOGUE THAT SHE WAS ISABELLA BLOW BECAUSE MCQUEEN SAID THEY HAD THE SAME BOOBS?) it's still a stretch to claim he tried to get a few last words in through her shitty song.

She didn't say she thought she was better than or even as good as McQueen though, just that she was really inspired by him, and that her song was a sort of tribute/memorial, I suppose. I don't really like her music much either, but I think your love of McQueen may be blinding some of you. Some people feel the same way about Gaga that you do about him.
